Prof. Dr. Qun Liu is the Chief Scientist of Speech and Language Computing in Huawei Noah's Ark Lab. He was a Full Professor in Dublin City University and the Theme Leader of the ADAPT Centre, Ireland during July 2012 and June 2018. Before that, he was as a Professor in the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences for 20 years, where he founded and led the ICT NLP Research Group. He obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer science in the University of Science and Technology of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Peking University respectively. His research interests lie in the areas of Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation. His main academic contributions are on Chinese language processing, syntax-based statistical machine translation and neural methods for natural language processing. He has authored or co-authored more than 300 peer-reviewed research publications, which have been cited more than 7000 times. He has supervised more than 40 students to the completion of their M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees.
Dr. Deyi Xiong is a professor in Tianjin University, China. His primary research interests are in the area of natural language processing & understanding, especially in machine translation, dialogue and natural language generation. He was the program co-chair of IALP 2012 and CWMT 2017. He has also served as area chairs of many international conferences including ACL, COLING and NAACL. He was the co-chair of the First International Workshop of Discourse Processing (IWDP 2018).
Dr. Shili Ge is a professor in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China with expertise in Sociolinguistics, Computational Linguistics, Language Education. He was the co-chair of the First International Workshop of Discourse Processing (IWDP 2018).
Dr. Xiaojun Zhang is a lecturer in translation technology in Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, China. His research interests cover translation and language technology, machine translation and discourse analysis. He was the chair of XJTLU Machine Translation Symposium 2018 and served as scientific committee members including LREC, CWMT and MT Summit.
